⚠️ Disclaimer: The Secret Games are over as Secret is now live on mainnet! Were you looking for our testnet? Go to our docs.

Hello to the community!

As previously announced, we are excited to be kicking off the Secret Games! During this period, node operators, developers, and community members can receive rewards (up to 1% of the total supply) for helping to secure, sustain, and grow Secret Network and the Secret ecosystem. The Secret Games will take place as we finalize testing “secret contracts” (privacy-preserving smart contracts on Secret Network) and propose this new functionality on mainnet.

One of the most critical pieces of the Secret Games is the incentivized testnet. During this phase, node operators will work together to stress-test secret contract functionality on Secret Network. Operators will set up their own “secret nodes” and receive rewards for successfully completing node-related missions. They will be supported and joined by existing validators on the Secret Network mainnet, including the Enigma team, Chain of Secrets, Secretnodes.org, and others. The Secret Foundation will also provide active guidance and communication.

Today we’re thrilled to confirm that internal testing has concluded, and we’re ready to share next steps around Phase 1 of the incentivized testnet, which will begin on July 20th! As mentioned previously, Phase 1 is limited and invitation-only in order to ensure our community can provide hands-on, timely support. Over 250 individual validators have so far expressed interest in participating in the incentivized Secret Network testnet, meaning only around 5% of applicants have received an invite for Phase 1.

The invited validators have already been selected and confirmed, with decisions made based on their strong technical abilities, demonstrated commitment to Secret Network, and a proven track record of supporting Proof of Stake networks. Participants who successfully complete network-related tasks during this two week period will be eligible for up to 125,000 SCRT in rewards.

If you are interested in becoming a secret node operator and were not selected for Phase 1, good news: Phase 2 is open to all participants and is expected to begin in early to mid August! Please reference our initial announcement post to learn about the substantial additional rewards that will be available during this phase, including rewards for successful network attacks, documentation, bug hunting, and more. If you haven’t already applied, fill out the Secret Network incentivized testnet interest form.
