Welcome Lisa Loud, the new Executive Director of the Secret Foundation!
Lisa brings a wealth of experience from her previous roles in both the web2 and web3 industries. Positions include Head of U.S. Digital Acquisition for Merchants at PayPal, Software Engineering Manager at Apple, and COO of ShapeShift. She currently serves as Chairman of FLUIDEFI, a DeFi trading platform for institutional investors that she co-founded in 2020. She’s also an experienced public speaker on FinTech topics, having delivered thousands of hours of virtual and in-person talks on blockchain, cryptocurrency, DeFi, NFTs, and disruptive leadership. She was featured in CoinTelegraph’s 2023 list of top 100 blockchain influencers.
Lisa will be guiding the restructuring of the Secret Foundation into a new NPO entity, and leading operations of this new entity as it continues to support the growth of Secret Network alongside SCRT Labs.
Secret is perfectly positioned to provide web3 with the next generation of decentralized privacy technology. In addition to the innovative native dApps currently being built, Secret’s unique value proposition has just begun to reach beyond its own network. “Privacy as a Service” solutions like Secret VRF are now allowing other blockchains to connect to Secret and make use of its secure computation capabilities, unlocking new use cases for web3 dApps across both IBC and EVM ecosystems. Research and development is also going into integrating additional forms of cryptography to deliver decentralized private computation in brand new ways, including making use of multi-party computation and fully homomorphic encryption.
Secret’s future has never been brighter, and we’re looking forward to working with Lisa to take it to the next level!
