This new Top-Level Domain (TLD) from Unstoppable provides a personal digital identity that supports native cryptocurrency transactions, hundreds of integrated dApps, encrypted chats, and more!

Unstoppable Domains

Launched in 2018, Unstoppable Domains is a Web3 domain name provider and digital identity platform working to onboard the world onto Web3. Unstoppable Domains offers Web3 domains minted on the blockchain that give people full ownership and control of their digital identity, with no renewal fees. With Unstoppable Domains, people can replace lengthy alphanumeric crypto wallet addresses with a human-readable name and log into and transact with more than 720 apps, wallets, exchanges, and marketplaces.

.secret domains can now be obtained at https://www.secret-domains.com/!

The new .secret Web3 domains will serve not only as website addresses but as fully-fledged digital identifiers that people can use to create their unique digital profiles. Web3 domains also offer their owners robust blockchain functionality, including the ability to send and receive cryptocurrencies, log into all of UD’s 865 integrated dApps, receive unique collectible badges, privately message other Web3 domain holders in apps like Group Chat, and much more.

Powered by the Web3 messaging protocol XMTP, Unstoppable Messaging offers a native Web3 solution for connecting with friends, keeping up with favorite projects, and nurturing dynamic communities through decentralized, end-to-end encrypted messaging—all within the .secret Web3 domain.

Secret x UD

In the future, UD and Secret Network will also complete an application for a branded Web2 generic top-level domain (gTLD) with the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN). This is the entity that regulates addresses in the traditional Domain Name System (DNS). Scheduled for 2026, the next ICANN gTLD issuance will decide if .secret will carry the same standing iconic addresses such as .com, .org, and .net.

Also as part of the partnership, Unstoppable and Secret will explore the feasibility of adding privacy to Unstoppable Domains’ products. By integrating Secret’s Confidential Computing Layer, Unstoppable may be able to offer private domain registration to its customers, keeping registrant’s on-chain identity protected at all times, and maintaining full encryption for domain metadata.

“With the new .Secret Web3 domains now launched, we take another step towards a future where brands can have more empowered and low-cost connections with their communities on the blockchain. We believe this is where the future of the online community is heading,” said Sandy Carter, COO of Unstoppable Domains. “Fans can show their appreciation for Secret Network by creating their own digital identity, while also leveraging the great privacy, security, and anonymity benefits of a .Secret domain.”

“Secret Network lets anyone build and use decentralized applications, or dApps, with encrypted data, customizable privacy, and confidential solutions for Web3. Now, with a .Secret domain, our fans, builders, active community, and anyone else who sees value in a .Secret domain, all have a great way to communicate with one another with continued anonymity. This is a truly unique step forward for our mission, and future ICANN approval would be the icing on the cake,” said Lisa Loud, Executive Director, Secret Network Foundation.

The latest announcement of the Secret Network partnership continues Unstoppable Domain’s mission to secure the gTLDs within ICANN’s forthcoming application window, offering the possibility for many more brands or cities a low-cost way to explore creating naming systems ahead of the next ICANN round. Approval of Web3 domain integration into the DNS will make them easily discoverable for billions of mainstream users, while their Web2 equivalents would inherit many blockchain-native features.
